Terms of Service
By using Advanced Scrobble Stats, you agree to follow a few basic rules. These guidelines exist to keep the platform accurate, safe, and functional for everyone.
- 1. Community Edits: We rely on community input to fix mismatched artists, albums, and tracks. Please do not abuse the edit system. Users caught intentionally vandalizing metadata or submitting spam edits will have their accounts banned.
- 2. Guilds & Uploads: When creating Guilds and uploading custom images, keep it respectful. We have a strict, zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, harassment, illegal content, or explicit/NSFW imagery. Guilds violating these terms will be immediately deleted, and the offending users will be banned.
- 3. Database Integrity: Server space costs money! To ensure the database runs smoothly for the average user, we reserve the right to delete or ban accounts with mathematically impossible scrobble histories (e.g., bot networks or massive scrobble-spamming). If an account is artificially bloated and degrading platform performance, it will be purged to free up space.
- 4. Service Availability: This is a hobbyist project provided "as is" without any warranties. We reserve the right to modify, pause, or terminate the service (or any user's access to it) at any time.
Privacy Policy
This policy outlines how Advanced Scrobble Stats handles your information. We value transparency and believe in keeping your data private and secure.
Authentication & Identity
Account access and identity are handled exclusively via Last.fm. We do not store or manage your passwords. When you log in, we only store your basic Last.fm information and necessary session details to fetch and display your scrobble history.
Data Collection & Usage
- Scrobble Data: We fetch your music listening history, username, start date, and avatar from Last.fm to generate statistics, collages, and maps.
- Metadata Corrections: Any manual corrections you make to Artist, Album, or Track metadata using our "Match Fix" and "Unmatched Scrobbles" tools are stored in our database. These corrections are shared across the platform to improve data accuracy for all users.
Cookies & Local Storage
- Session Management: We use a secure session cookie to keep you logged in during your visit. This cookie remains active for 30 days so you don't have to re-authenticate every time you return, or until you manually log out.
- Preferences: We use your browser's "Local Storage" to remember your selections (such as date ranges, stat types, etc.), navigation callbacks, and album art so your experience remains consistent across sessions.
Third-Party Services
- MusicBrainz & Cover Art Archive: We fetch metadata and album art from these community-driven databases. Your browser connects to these services directly to display artwork.
- Unsplash We rely on the Unsplash API for some country background images. These are fetched based on a static search query.
- Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare for security (DDoS protection) and performance monitoring (RUM). Cloudflare collects anonymized technical data (e.g., browser type and page load times) to help us ensure the site is fast and reliable globally. No personal identifiable information is sent to Cloudflare.
Your Rights
This is a community-focused hobbyist project. If you wish to have your associated data removed from our database, please contact the site administrator.
